The Arc of the Path
Friday, September 27, 2013 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Tim Olmsted
The Arc of the Path – The Journey to Awakening Within the Tibetan Buddhist Tradition With Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted Montréal, Canada

Tim Olmsted. Drawing on over thirty years of practicing and teaching Tibetan Buddhism.

What do the Buddha's teachings have to do with our lives in the modern world? Though his teachings took shape thousands of years ago in ancient India , the Buddha's insights grew out of basic human questions that transcend culture and history. Is it possible to find lasting happiness? How can we make our lives meaningful and deeply affect the world we live in? These were the questions that set the Buddha on the path to awakening.

Please join us as we explore the “journey to awakening” with Tergar instructor Tim Olmsted. Drawing on over thirty years of practicing and teaching Tibetan Buddhism, Tim will share his insights about the key points of the path – meditation, radiant compassion, and finally, the experience of “sacred world.” Everyone is invited, those new to the path, or old hands.
